Katharina C. Helwig Fox, 79, of Springfield Twp., PA passed away Friday, January 9, 2026 in Easton Skilled Nursing Home, Palmer Twp. PA.
She was born August 7, 1946 in Quakertown, PA and was a daughter of the late George and Katharina (Alterman) Helwig of Kintnersville, PA.
Kathy was a 1966 graduate of Palisades High School and a graduate of Churchman's Business School. She worked in banking for 30 years, retiring from PNC Bank in Phillipsburg, NJ as the bank manager. While working in banking, she served as President of the Phillipsburg Chamber of Commerce. After retirement from the bank, Kathy cared for her niece and nephew and for about ten years, prepared taxes for H&R Block in Quakertown. She and her husband, Ronald, were members of the Coachmen E-zzz Goers Camping Club where she held various offices and where they traveled extensively across the United States. Kathy had been a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Riegelsville, PA and enjoyed spending time in the couple's second home in Wellsboro, PA. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching cooking shows and Survivor, and listening to country music, especially Kenny Rogers. She loved dogs, especially Jack and Jill and could grow anything with her green thumb. Kathy was proud to be the daughter, wife, sister and mother to farmers.
Kathy will be missed by her children, Ronald Fox and Amy Fox (Curt Bush). She took much pride in her children, Ronnie carrying on the farming life and Amy singing across the country. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Fox; her nieces, Karin Crotts (George) and Andrea Fox, and nephew Ryan Fox; great niece and nephews, Kaela, Andrew and Nathan Crotts. In addition to her husband Ronald, who died in 2024, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Helwig.
